DAY EIGHT:
The begining of week two! I am happy to report that I did not die over the weekend, although I did cave & had a little hot tea & soup broth to treat my horrendous cold after my asthma triggered a hospital visit on saturday.
Back on the horse...errr cow!
Beautiful day at the Farmers Market in Cambell yesterday! Picked up my weeks milk supply from Ron w/ Organic Pastures...Thank you guys again for being a part of this!!!!!!
So far, things have been more pleasant than I expected:) My skin has cleared & is nearly as soft as my baby daughter's. I have had no bouts of hypoglycemia. I have a condition which requires me to take insulin four times a day...one of the many medications that I am hoping to eventually not need. However, until I hear otherwise from my doctor, it will continue. No acid tummy whatsoever(I usually rarely make it through a day without my rolaids!)My energy has been pretty wiped out from this illness, but seems to be returning.
I am actually really looking forward to this week and curious to see what changes it will bring! Seems like my life is all about change right now!!
See ya tomorrow;)
I have done a milk fast several times before and do know that when your body starts to heal it will retrace old illnesses that you once had before.
ReplyDeleteWhen I started eating healthy and drinking lots of raw milk I found that I got an ear infection. Something I had not had in years, but would get and keep for months. There was no real reason for me to get it when I did during my fast except it lasted for about 10 days and disappeared just as it had come.
I believe that since you have taken so many antibiotics in the last 12 months your body is retracing your illnesses because it is killing the bugs that caused the illness that have been laying dormat in your system for a while. This causes a die off effect. This can feel like the flu by the way. The raw ilk is very powerful in this way.
After antibiotics the cause of the illness (bad bacteria) usually returns in about 3 months to where you need them again. The good bacteria and other stuff in the milk is going to kill the bad stuff for good.
Even if you start eating again and continue about 4 cups of the raw milk a day the healing process will continue and you will continue to retrace illness that you have had over the years.
Good luck and thanks for writing about your experience. It is nice to see that others experience the same things as you do. I will say I was never able to go beyond 10 days on the diet at a time. but I would do it every other month. Oh, one effect it made my hair fgrow really fast and longer than it ever had before in my life. :)
